[FIC]Breaking Facade Chapter 65

CHAPTER 65
“We’re at the old abandoned warehouse just beside the cemetery down the road from my house.” Aya whispered into the phone, as if she was telling Jaejoong some big secret that no one could hear of it.

Without a minute of proper thinking, he replied, “I’ll be right there.”

The little devil laughed wickedly. She would never let Eve return back to Jaejoong without any damages done, whether physically or mentally, she WILL do something to her. “Uh-huh! Oppa, I won’t let you come and ruin my game. And oppa-yah, you can’t come and go as you like. I call the shots here.”

Jaejoong frowned with worries creased between his brows. He knew clearly that he had to obey all her orders in order to see Eve. He then sighed, “What is it that I have to do to be able to see her then?”

She smiled through the phone.

Aya knew she had succeeded in her little game, the first half. Her victory won’t be satisfying if Jaejoong wasn’t part of it.

“My dear, my dear Jaejoong. She’s nothing but one who deserves death. I even think that death alone might be too kind for her. Is she worth your beautiful and magnanimous love? She should be left alone and be punished to atone for her sins.”

“Why… Why? What did Eve do to you? What do you want from her?” It sounded more of a demand than a question.

“I.Want.Her.Dead.”

Beep. Beep, the phone line went dead.

———-
“Why, Min-jee?” Her faint voice rang across the big empty warehouse.

Eve was left in a corner, leaning against the cold wall. She could hardly sit up straight due to days of starvation. Aya did not let her touch food or water, just leaving her in that cold corner shivering for her life.

Aya scoffed.

“Why, Min-jee?” Eve repeated her. It was barely a whisper with the weak body of hers.

Aya stood up abruptly, causing the chair to fall back. And she walked over to where Eve was then to grab her by the chin, forcing her to meet her stare. “Eve Elizabeth Reaser. What a joke you are! I can’t believe that people love you for your ugly and hideous self. First came Kim Bum, that fool. Then came Jaejoong, another idiot. Who do you think you really are? You’re nothing but pure dirt and dust. I’ll show you that today is the day where you will beg for death to come seeking. People suffer because of you! Your retribution falls on others, those innocent ones that you claim of loving them.”

With that, she jerked Eve’s chin away so harshly that made Eve hit the wall. A trail of cold fresh blood came flowing down her forehead as she went limp and unconscious against the wall.

————
Jaejoong paced up and down the hallway, grabbing onto his phone and waiting desperately for her call.

“Youngwoong hyung, stop pacing. It won’t help. We can only wait patiently for her call.” Yoochun said with him breathing deeply to calm himself down.

Jaejoong continued to pace and pinched the bridge of his nose as though no one had spoken. How could he relax now when his loved one was held captive!

“Hyung, Noona won’t want to see you like this. Please sit down.” Changmin broke the silence after long. He loved Eve just as much but knew that it would not do them any good to be panicking. He sighed, knowing that he could not do anything but to wait. The silence was killing everyone in the room.

Jaejoong stopped as if someone electrocuted him. He turned and stared at Changmin with those blank eyes. “No one knows how she is right now and what is she going through!”

“Jaejoong-ssi…” Jin said in her soft voice that had not recovered from her overnight crying. It pained her to know that Eve was in the hands of the vicious Aya. Every night, she would jolt up from her sleep because of her bad dreams. She prayed in her mind that Eve would not be like what she saw in her dreams.

“Hush girl…” Junsu wrapped his arm around her shoulders and gave her a light squeeze. He had to be strong for his woman. Showing the misery was just as bad as Jaejoong’s pacing.

Chillie stood up out of a sudden. “Jaejoong! Stop pacing! You’re making everyone just as nervous! You’re not making this right. Please get a grip of yourself!”

Jaejoong stopped staring at Changmin and lifted his head to meet her gaze. She saw no life in the depth of his eyes. It was like staring into the dark sky with no stars. Behind those eyes, there was only pure misery. Perhaps something worst…

He then lowered his head in defeat and whispered, “I’m sorry.”

“Jaejoong, you’re not on this alone. We’re all going through this together… She’ll be fine.” Yunho gave him a light pat on the shoulder. Someone had to be the strong one, the one that kept everything in line. And Yunho had to be the one to swallow the pain and comforted the rest. He changed his attention to Venus who was hugging her legs alone in the corner. Then he sighed.

“She will be fine…” Natalie talked to herself when she felt Changmin’s hand clasped around hers which were on her lap. She forced a smile on her lips.

The atmosphere was solemn.

The last phone call from Aya hit them hard, especially Jaejoong. There was only pain and misery in the air. No one dared to speak or break the silence that was going around. They could only sit and wait for another lead.

A CHRISTMAS ANGEL (ONE SHOT)

A christmas angel

A CHRISTMAS ANGEL

Yoochun walked with his head filled with so many questions. Their group was currently experiencing a problem. And somehow everything and everyone around them were starting to get affected, one by one…. especially their fans.

He sighed heavily. It was almost Christmas time and such a frustrating problem suddenly came. Only a miracle could solve their problem now. Everything was already out of hand. Too many people were already involved and too many opinions and decisions were being considered. There were times that he was even thinking that maybe it was better to just give up and go their separate ways.

Lately he had noticed the gap, the invisible wall that was separating all of them. And as each day passes by, he knew the wall just kept on growing. And it was only a short time before they would no longer be able to reach each other, even if they wanted to. He wanted things to return to the same state it was before. But things got complicated and mistakes can never be undone.

He slowly sat down on a swing. There were only a few people left in the park. And since it was already passed 10 o’ clock, no one was even bothering to look at him.

This was the only place that he could find refuge, the only spot where he could enjoy some peaceful time alone, away from all the hectic schedules and the screaming fans. He knew his fellow DBSK members were also tired from all the work they had been doing for the last couple of months. It was like there whole world was already centered on the fact that they belonged to the famous group, DBSK. They had no privacy, no life, no love…. no one special to share their achievements with. Somehow he felt like their lives were becoming pointless as time moved on.

“I’m really tired. Why is my life like this?” he unexpected said out loud with his head bent down.

“Uhmmm… Excuse me, can I… I ask for your signature?” a voice suddenly said.

Yoochun quickly looked at the person standing in front of him. “You’re asking for my signature?” he asked a young boy about 17 years old. It wasn’t everyday that a boy would come up to him and ask for his signature.

The boy quickly nodded. “Well, it isn’t for me. It’s for my younger sister,” he added.

“Oh, I see… “ Yoochun uttered as a smile appeared on his lips. He couldn’t help but admire the young boy in front of him. The boy must really love his sister, he thought.

“Can you please sign this?” the boy asked as he shyly gave Yoochun a cd. It was one of their Japanese singles.

Yoochun took the cd and pen and was about to write when… “What’s the name of your sister?” he asked the boy.

“Yumiko,” the boy uttered with a sad tone.

Yoochun quickly stared at the boy. “And your name is?”

“My name is Hiro,” the boy answered. “I’m sorry for disturbing you,” he added politely.

Yoochun lightly laughed. “It’s okay,” he said. He had already returned the cd when he looked at the boy again. “Tell me, how did you know that I would be here?”

Hiro suddenly felt embarrassed to answer Yoochun’s question. “I… I had been following you and your friends for a month now. But I always get blocked by your body guards. My sister’s birthday is next week. So I had been trying to get close to one of you, so I can fulfill my promise.”

“So you’ve been stalking me and my friends, so you can give your sister her birthday gift?” Yoochun asked curiously.

Hiro nodded.

“Honestly I admire your determination to fulfill your promise to your sister,” Yoochun uttered. He then paused and looked at the cd the boy was holding. And immediately he thought of a wonderful idea. “Do you think you can give me your sister’s full name and your address?”

Hiro looked at Yoochun with curiosity written all over his face. “Yes… but can I ask why?”

“I just want to give your sister some additional gifts that would surely make her happy,” Yoochun answered.

The boy’s face lit up with joy. “Thank you…. I know Yumiko would be delighted to receive more gifts… especially if it came from you.”

“I will be sending the gifts tomorrow,” Yoochun said with a bright smile.

*************************************************************

“Hyung, why are we signing this?” Changmin asked Yoochun with a slight irritation and a confused look on his face. He had just entered the kitchen and was about to get his breakfast.

“Sign first, before you eat,” Jaejoong said with a laugh. “No signature, no food.”

“Oh, that’s harsh. How many signatures do you need?” Changmin asked back as he hurriedly took the cd and pen away from Yoochun.

Yunho who was already filling up a cd with some personal messages laughed out loud. “That’s our very helpful Changmin…”

“Yoochun met a boy last night who had been stalking us for a month now. He had promised his sister a cd with our signatures on it as a birthday gift. So we’re helping out…” Junsu explained with a bright smile. He felt so happy to do such a wonderful thing for someone… especially a fan. Somehow he feels like it has been a long time since they did something special… together.

“Oh, now I understand. You should have just told me straight away,” Changmin said.

“How about if… we just bring our gifts personally? Don’t you think that would be a much nicer gift?” Jaejoong asked the other members.

The other boys nodded their heads and agreed right away. “I got the address here. How about if we just go now and surprise the girl?” Yoochun asked happily.

“Yes, that’s a great idea,” Yunho added. He was suddenly excited and happy.

“Okay then…. We’ll leave in an hour,” Junsu uttered.

***************************************************************

After an hour…

“Thank you …. but Yumiko’s dead,” an old woman said as she politely accepted the boys gifts.

“Dead?” Yoochun couldn’t believe what he heard.

The old woman nodded her head and took out the picture of her daughter. She then gave the picture to Yoochun. “She died a week ago… She had been sick for the past three years. But she kept on fighting… everyday… hoping…” a bitter smile appeared on the old woman’s lips.

The DBSK boys pitied Yumiko. She was still very young.

“But Hiro… he said that he was going to give her a gift for her birthday. So we thought that she was…” Yoochun tried to explain.

“Still alive? Hmmm….When Yumiko was still alive Hiro promised her that he would give her a cd with your signatures on it for her birthday. She was already an avid fan even before she got sick. And even though her sickness prevented her from doing the ordinary things she used to enjoy… She found another passion that kept her busy until the very end of her life. Because of your group, she found her passion for writing. As time passed by, her sickness grew worst but she still tried to be strong and never allowed herself to lose contact with all the things that were happening with all of you…. your lives, your careers… your music. Somehow I feel like… you were another reason why she tried to fight longer. She would always listen to your songs whenever she was in pain. I know she would be very happy that all of you came here…. Thank you for taking the time and all the effort to make my daughter … happy,” the old woman uttered as she slowly cried.

The DBSK boys were totally speechless. They were taken by surprise by what they found out. The happy memory they were expecting was instantly replaced with sadness, pity and regret.

It was then that Hiro suddenly appeared with a small book in his hands. “Thank you for all the gifts you guys brought. In exchange, I would like to give you this.”

“What is it?” Yunho asked.

“It’s Yumiko’s diary…. I know it would really make her happy, if you guys accept this,” Hiro replied.

“Oh no… We can’t possibly accept that…. That’s too personal. You should be the ones to keep it,” Jaejoong uttered.

“Please do accept it. I have read the whole diary, and all the words she had written in that small book are already engraved in my heart. I will remember those words even if the book is gone. Please accept it,” the old woman softly uttered.

The DBSK members exchanged glances with one another. Somehow they were asking each other whether to accept the book being given or not.

A few minutes passed…

With trembling hands, Junsu carefully reached out for Yumiko’s diary. “Thank you…” he uttered softly to Hiro.

Hiro smiled…. “I should be the one thanking you… all of you. You have all made my sister very happy with your music…. and your songs.”

*******************************************************************

Another hour passed, at the boys’ apartment….

Jaejoong carefully opened the diary and started to read out loud… The first half of the small book was full of details of their past achievements. The DBSK boys were very touched. They couldn’t believe that someone could really give so much attention to them, when she obviously had other important things to give attention to.

Jaejoong read on and on… somehow the words he was reading were becoming too addicting. He just longed for more and more…

“What is happiness? All of us have different definitions for it. But for me, I only have one answer, and that is DBSK. They made me happy during the times I was sad. Their songs were my companions during the times I was alone. They were my special friends, even if it was only in my dreams and in my stories. Because of them, I met so many friends online. I never thought I would be able to meet so many people from different countries, and instantly feel the connection with them. Sometimes I wonder if the DBSK boys even know the kind of power that they have. They have brought so many people together from different walks of life without realizing it. They are truly like gods in their own right. And I believe their name fits them perfectly, The Rising Gods Of The East”

“They are my very own special gods that have brought a special light into my darkening life. They made my dull and fading world, full of color and life once again. Because of them, I learned so many things that I will never learn in one lifetime. And even if I was at the very end, I am still thankful. They brought out the other side of me, which I never really knew. I learned how to write wonderful stories all because I was in love. I was in love with all of them in my own little world of imagination. I placed myself in the shoes of all the thousands of fans that kept on screaming their names. I wanted to play out the various scenes that were constantly playing in my head. I wanted to create a world wherein their fans can enter and also interact with them. The stories I wrote were the worlds created by my mind so to give happiness to other people. Now I know how it feels like to actually make other people happy without asking anything in return, and just being myself and enjoying the endless words of joy that fans like me are giving for the stories I have written. Unexpectedly, I learned humility.”

“There were times I couldn’t bear the pain anymore and just wanted to give up. But their songs made me think twice. The words in their songs gave me hope and a new meaning in life. Their melodies touched my lonely heart and erased the traces of pain that entered my life day after day. Whenever I feel down, I would just watch them perform and I would suddenly feel happy again. The smiles and laughs they shared made me think that life is still worth fighting for. Whenever I see them, I remember my brother and my mother, like them they are also the reasons why I keep on fighting. I want to live and breathe as long as my body would allow me to. I want to experience the happiness that life has to offer. I want to give what I can to others so I can at least have something to leave to all the important people in my life.”

“How funny, just when you thought that everything is already at the end. Something happens and you suddenly realized that everything is really just beginning. I thought my life was really over the moment I learned I was sick and I only had about a few months up to a year to live. After I learned about this, I became bitter and I hated everything and everyone around me.”

“But because of the love my mother and brother showered me with, I slowly learned how to accept my fate. Yes, I was dying. But it didn’t mean that I can no longer live like a normal person. I was sick, but I wasn’t dead. I still had a chance to do things.”

“I returned to my normal life. But my life was already restricted. I was forced to be confined in my own little world, my small sanitized room, free from dust and small particles that might make me sick. My body was already failing and I wasn’t allowed to catch even the simplest sickness. I felt like I was trapped. There were times I wanted to break free and just ran out of the door and get myself all soaked up in the rain like the way I used to. How I missed playing in the rain with my brother.”

“Two years passed, the pain grew much worse and stayed longer. But I was already immune. I just took everything without any complaints.”

“Already nearing the end, but I am happy. My brother just bought the latest cd of DBSK. But of course, my dream of owning a cd with all the boys’ signatures is still a fantasy. He promised me I would get one for my birthday. My birthday will be in three weeks time. I hope I can still make it. I can feel my body is starting to endure the pain more horribly now. But the pain I am feeling can’t even compare with the pain I feel after I learned about the trouble the DBSK boys are going through. I pity them. I wish I could fly to their side and just comfort them. I know they are going through a hard time right now.”

“Keep on fighting! No matter what hardships you guys are facing right now. There will always be a light that will come your way. Always remember your fans will always support you in whatever decisions you make. I know you guys are in pain right now. But everything will come and go. Just hold on to each other tightly and everything will be all right. Just keep trusting each other, and all the trials will pass. I believe in you, the same way the thousands of other fans believe in you. We will always love you and support you no matter what happens.”

“I feel strange today. I don’t know why. I have been singing the boys’ songs for the last few days. I just feel like I want to sing and sing like there’s no tomorrow. And another weird thing, I greeted someone Merry Christmas, even though it’s still a month away. I am acting more peculiar as the days pass by. Also I easily get tired these passed few days. I am listening to Insa right now. And although it’s too sad, I always find it so soothing to listen to. I am going to rest for a while after this. Then I am going to watch some videos again. I have missed the DBSK boys so much. They haven’t appeared in any new shows lately. I wish all their troubles will finally come to an end. I know all their other fans are also missing them as well. Keep on fighting, I will always pray for you guys. Even if I die today, and when I finally go to heaven, I will still keep on praying for you to always be together and continuously make beautiful music forever.”

Jaejoong stopped reading. It was the last entry. Tears were already streaming down his face. He couldn’t help but feel so touched and blessed. He looked at the other DBSK members, and they were crying as well.

Unexpectedly, Yunho stood up. “Let’s make an angel happy… Let’s promise to always be together and continue to make beautiful music until we all grow old.”

The DBSK boys gave each other the most loving and longest embrace they had ever given each other. An angel touched their lives. And they will forever learn from the simple lessons and words she had taught them.

************************************************************

A month later… on a Christmas fan meeting…

All the DBSK boys were already on stage… before they performed their last song, Jaejoong unexpectedly decided to make a short speech…

“This song is dedicated to an angel we never really met, but who touched our lives with her meaningful words. She had taught us how to live life to the fullest.. She made us see our mistakes and she made us stronger. She will always be in our hearts. This is for you…. Yumiko… and thank you.”

As the boys sang together again, tears of joy streamed down from their eyes. They will always keep their promise… They will always make beautiful music together…. forever…

Somehow… they know an angel was singing with them up in heaven…..

[FIC]Breaking Facade chapter 64

CHAPTER 64

“Number 35!” The monitor beeped.

Jin looked up to see the blinking red number and then down to the number tag she held onto. She got up to make her way to the door that separated the doctor and the patients, however stopped just outside when she has her hand on the knob. Her heart was beating twice as fast than usual, it was causing her to hyperventilate.

She took a long deep breathe before calming herself down. “Jinayu, what is it that’s making you behave so cowardly? I’m all fine, nothing’s wrong with my body so why am I worrying?”

With manners, she knocked once before entering.

An hour later, Jin came out with a blanked face. She looked pale, like there was not life in her.

Vibrate. Vibrate. Vibrate.

She fished it out from her bag to receive a call from her beloved. It was Kim Junsu and no one else.

With trembling hands she answered,“Hey.”

“Jin-ah~” He sang her name ever so beautifully. “Everything’s fine with your body?”

She bit her bottom lip. “Junsu… Let’s break up.”

———-

“Hello? Where are you? You stay there, I’ll be there!” Changmin sighed and shook his head. He then stared at Jaejoong with burning eyes and said,“Hyung, Eve noona is drunk again. What did you do to her!”

“Nothing. I did nothing.”

His cold reply angered the young man. “Hyung! Noona is with a stranger now! A guy, to be exact! Who knows where he’ll be taking her to!”

Jaejoong flinched, giving it a thought at Changmin’s words but held onto his cold front. “She’ll be fine.”

“Hyung!” Changmin shouted. He was angry at Jaejoong. No matter what Eve had done wrong, she definitely did not deserve such attitude from him.

Jaejoong did not talk to Eve neither did Eve talked to him. It was like they became strangers after Aya’s incident.

“Fine! I’ll go find Noona myself!”

Bang. The door slammed shut after Changmin took his coat and ran out.

———-

“Sir… Where’re you taking me to?” Eve giggled while trying to ask the stranger that was holding her waist.

“You’ll know later when you wake up.”

With that, he forcefully covered Eve’s nose and mouth with a cloth stained of chloroform. She struggled with her last bit of strength, however being tipsy was not helping her. Within a short minute, she knocked out unconscious.

The stranger held her in his arms to walk across the remote street and then dumped her inside the large van.

“Job well done.” He laughed. “It’s such a waste for a pretty chick like her to get into such trouble with our lady boss.”

———-

“Jin, what’s wrong? What did I do wrong that made you decide to have a break up with me?” Junsu begged for an answer.

Jin bit her lips. “Sorry Junsu, but I think we’re just not suitable for each other.”

“We’re all fine until you want a break up.”

“I need to leave. Please… Let go.” Jin struggled under his grasp on her wrist. The more she struggled, the harder he grabbed on. He could not afford to lose her, never could he. She was too precious, precious like a gemstone to him.

“I won’t! I can’t! I will never!”

Slap.

“Why are you so selfish!” Jin could not hold back her tears any longer, droplets came rolling down. “I can’t take all your nonsense anymore! Do you know how stressful it is to be the girlfriend of Kim Junsu from Dong Bang Shin Ki?! You have no idea how much I’ve to hide from fans… I can’t show my love out loud… You can’t even be proud of me!”

Jin left, leaving Junsu holding onto his left cheek where Jin’s slap was still warm.

“I’m sorry, Su.”

———-

“Hyung! I can’t find Noona anywhere!” Changmin came back with worries creased on his face. His face changed when he saw his hyung’s pale face staring into space. “What’s wrong?”

Jaejoong’s mouth hardly moved while he spoke. “Eve’s kidnapped.”

“What?!”

-Flashback-

“Fine! I’ll go find Noona myself!”

Bang. The door slammed shut after Changmin took his coat and ran out.

Jaejoong turned his head slowly to look at the door. He felt empty, empty without Eve. “Eve, why?”

Ring.

“Hello?” Jaejoong’s voice was blank.

“Oppa!” She exclaimed into the phone. “How’ve you been? I miss you, I really do. I even invited Eve unnie to come over my warehouse to play but she’s being a rude girl.”

Smack. Then Jaejoong heard a scream, but it wasn’t just a scream. It was a blood-curdling shriek of agony.

The horrifying sound was muffled when Aya spoke up again. “She didn’t have to get punish if she behaved.”

“Eve? Why is she with you?” Jaejoong flinched at Eve’s scream.

Aya giggled, but in a instant her voice changed. “She has been a horrible girl, destroying my future and my family. I hate her for her existence. Thank goodness her parents are dead.”

Another blood-curling scream.

“AYA! WHERE IS EVE!”

She laughed. Her evil laughter made his hair stood up. “Oh no no… Oppa, you shouldn’t be so rude to me. You’ll get punish too, you know? And I believe you won’t like it.”

Her threats made Jaejoong took a deep breath. He could not afford to anger her, for Eve was now in her hands. He got to take this slow and wise. “Aya, can you kindly tell me where are you? Where did you take Eve to?”

“Oppa-yah, kind isn’t part of my name.” Aya giggled, enough to make Jaejoong’s toes curled up. “But I’ll tell you. It shall be a secret that me and you share, okay? If you tell anyone else where am I, Eve unnie will get punish on your behalf okay? I really can’t bear to see her bleed anymore. It’s freaky, but the whipping is fun though.”

“I promise I won’t tell anyone. Please tell me…” Jaejoong begged. He was desperate.

Aya whispered, like as if anyone could hear her shaing her secret with Jaejoong. “We’re at…”

[FIC]Breaking Facade chapter 56,57,58,59,60,61,62 and 63

“Eve, hurry!” The girls pulled her along through the crowd of fans to get to their seats, seats specially booked for them. Jin was smart, she booked the tickets early that was why they had good front seats. She was more excited to see her Junsu performed sexily on stage than what was Jaejoong planning to do for Eve’s birthday.

“Jin, tell me how did you get front seats? You girls already plan this out right?” Eve gave her an intense stare.

Jin giggled like a school girl. ”Sorry Eve baby, I’m afraid I got to say yes.”

The concert begun with fangirls squealing over their favourite boys on the stage, masculine and charismatic as always.

All the squealing was starting to get on Eve’s nerves. When she heard a fangirls behind her starting to scream Jaejoong’s name, she shuffled in her seat uneasily and muttered under her breath,”Jaejoong, this is all your fault. Being so attractive is not a good thing afterall. Funny thing is that I’m with this overly attractive guy.”

Cassiopeias are enthusiastic in every performance from the boys as they waved their red lightsticks in the air during slow ballet songs and sang along during fast dance songs.

The girls stared in awe as their boys performed on stage. They gave off heavy charisma and charm that twirled all fangirls’ heart in huge frenzy. Jin watched Junsu winked every once in awhile to the audience that sent her heart into skipping a few beats here and there. Chillie loved Yoochun’s husky voice that he sang in. He looked so charming when sitting down playing the keyboard. She would close her eyes to enjoy his music —every beat, every key, every sound.

Eve was anticipating Jaejoong’s solo performance to be coming up after the other members’ performance. She watched quietly as Jaejoong made his way to the piano and sat down gracefully as ever. He took the microphone and said,”Annyeonghaseyo Cassiopeia! Today is a birthday of someone extremely important to me. I would like to dedicate this song to her. Please enjoy. I wrote this myself, specially for her.”

The music flowed so smoothly across the whole hall, luxuriantly filling every single person’s heart with the love that Jaejoong felt during the composure of this song. Jaejoong knew nothing was enough or good for his little princess that once suffered tremendously. Though nothing could mend the hurt in her heart, he would want to do his best to minimise her pain.

Fangirls started to have tears rolling down their faces as though they could feel how Jaejoong felt towards the love between him and Eve.

The music came to a stop with the most beautiful last note. That amazing song gained screamings and cheerings from the crowd as well as tears.

Jaejoong stood up and bowed. ”This person is so important to me. I can’t tell or emphasize the importance of her to me enough. She’s like my oxygen that keeps me going everyday when life is hard. Every time she smiles, my heart literally skips a beat. No, not just one beat. Maybe a million or more? But every time I see her cry, my heart too breaks into a million pieces. I know I can’t be perfect for her and neither do I expect her to be perfect for me. I love her for who she is and will always love her for who she is or will be in the future. She suffered too much in the past and I will not allow her to take any suffering in the future. Each time I stare into her eyes, they are filled with sadness and complications that i can never understand. I want to do so much for her but I can’t. Eve, though I can’t guarantee that I’ll be the best man, but I’ll still try my best to give you the best treatment. I love you and happy birthday.”

Eve covered her mouth and could not stop the tears from falling down her cheeks. Her head was in a blank from Jaejoong’s confession. Yes she was happy but there was still confusion stirring in her. She could not understand what those feelings were but it was not good. She fought with the urge of standing up and ran from the spot.

Jaejoong continued,”Eve, if you’re here, can you come down? Please. I know it’s hard but do it for me just once.”

He looked among the whole crowd of people that filled the stadium hall, squirting his eyes to find Eve.

Am I good enough to let the world know that you’re in love with me? Jaejoong, there’s a huge price to pay for loving a broken doll like me. Eve questioned herself.

“Go down! Go down!” The crowd cheered in unison. Most of the fans were wanting to see who this girl was that made their Jaejoong so in love with her.

Eve… Please come down. Jaejoong prayed in his mind.

Jin and Chillie turned to Eve, only to see her hands trembling and her staring into space. It seemed like she was not oblivious to her surrounding anymore. They nudged her a little and whispered,”What are you waiting for? Go up there and give him a hug.”

Eve did not move an inch. She sat there as still as a statue. Her mind was in huge confusion. Her sight started to swirl and became blurry. She clenched her fist tight and bit her lips. The situation she was put in was hurting her head, it was like Deja vu.

Gathering all the courage that she had, she stood up. All heads turned to her. Some stares were intense, the others were in shock. But Jaejoong smiled to see her rising from the crowd, standing beautiful and perfect like he always seen her as.

The spotlight was on Eve. What should I do now…

CHAPTER 57

Quote for the chapter: In the arithmetic of love, one plus one equals everything, and two minus one equals nothing. -Mignon Mclaughlin
———————————

“Happy birthday to Eve!” The group cheered as they held their cups up into the air.

“Now blow the candles, darling sister.” Yoochun grinned at her.

Just about when Eve was about to blow out the candles, Chillie stopped her and covered her mouth. ”No! You got to make three wishes first.”

“Hmm… Firstly, I wish that all of us will be in good health. Secondly, the couples here will be together happily but for those who don’t have a partner yet will be able to find one suitable one soon. And thirdly, I wish that-” Jin covered her mouth and all the others could hear were muffled sounds.

“The last wish must be kept secret otherwise it won’t come true.” Jin said, gaining a nod from obedient Eve.

Eve clasped both hands together and rested her chin on them, making a wish sincerely. When she was done, she opened her eyes and quickly blowed out the candles. ”Yay!”

“Jaejoong give a kiss! Jaejoong give a kiss!” The group cheered and clapped for Jaejoong to give the birthday lady a sweet kiss.

Jaejoong turned to Eve and held her by both shoulder as he asked,”Do you want me to kiss you?”

His eyes stared deep into hers, sending shockwaves to every nerve of her body. It was natural that as her heart hammered in her chest, blood started rushing up her cheeks, filling them with deep shades of red.

Eve immediately looked down to cover her flustered face from her sweet lover but Jaejoong held her chin and pulled it back to make her look up at him. ”So your answer is?”

“Jaejoong kiss her already! Stop teasing her!” Jin yelled impatiently. The anticipation was killing her.

“I won’t kiss her until she says yes.” Yoochun spoke Jaejoong’s mind out.

As Jaejoong’s delicious lips moved an inch closer to Eve, she gulped harder. It was definitely unresistable for her to not grab him and kissed him hard on those lovely lips.

“I love you.” Jaejoong muttered before his lips crashed onto her. Eve immediately closed her eyes to enjoy his lovely lips on hers. His soft delicate lips that never failed to make blood hammered in her veins, nerves screaming in every part of her body, cells vibrating with joy and most importantly, it never failed to make her realize how much she loved him.

——————————–

“You know when you came down the stage today, I was so happy.” Jaejoong said in Eve’s ear as she was leaning against him on the side of the car.

“But you do know it’s very risky of you doing that.” Eve nagged, her brows knitted together.

“Any risk to keep you as mine forever.” He whispered into her ear, making her shiver with joy.

“Reckless you.” Eve muttered under her breath as she continued to enjoy the cool breeze that gently caressed her face.

Jaejoong tightened his embrace around her and rested his chin on her shoulder. He had never felt so alive before. All because of Eve, he felt so much more completed, like he had something missing all along. He was sure and totally convinced that Eve was the only one that he had space in his heart for. Her presence is his motivation.

“Beautiful, isn’t it? Luckily I asked Yoochun to let us out. Finally we can spend some quiet time together.” Eve said as she contined to admire the night beauty of Han river.

Jaejoong smiled. ”But you’re far more beautiful than it.”

“Glib tongue.” Eve turned in his arms to face him and she stuck her tongue out, teasing Jaejoong. ”You should learn better stuff from Min or Yunho and not from Yoochun or Junsu. Sweet talker. I’m not going to fall for that.”

It made Jaejoong stared at her with the intensity that could burn through a piece of paper. ”I’m serious.”

Eve gulped at his sudden seriousness. It definitely had scared her. ”I…” Just as she was about to open her mouth to say something again, she turned around and sneezed. ”I need to sneeze.”

Jaejoong burst into laughter from her cuteness. Every action of her made her uniquely her, uniquely Eve. The one and only that he would love for life, the one and only that no one could ever imitate or replace.

Eve frowned. ”What’s so funny, Hero Kim Jaejoong?” She folded her arms and she emphasized on his entire name with a hint of sarcasm.

He took off his jacket and gentlemanly wrapped it around her petite figure. He then kissed her cheek and said,”You’re just too adorable and too nice to be true. I’m a happy man.”

Eve still had the frown on her face when Jaejoong placed his jacket around her shoulders. Although she found his action really caring and she had blushed, she was still extremely concerned about his health.

“What’s wrong? Stop frowning. You’ll get old if this goes on.” Jaejoong lovingly rubbed her knitted eyebrows and planted a kiss on her pouty lips.

“Jaejoong, you know you’re going to get sick wearing just that tee. The temperature is dropping you know. Take care of your own health for me please.” She took off his jacket and tiptoed to wrap it around him.

“Eve, if you get sick, I’ll be more worried. Stop being stubborn. Wear it.” Jaejoong once again took it off, wanting to wrap it around her but he was stopped.

“You need it more. My work schedule is really flexible. You’re different. You have a tight schedule everyday. It’ll be tiring to work if you get sick. You need a healthy body to work more than I do. Be a good boy and stop arguing with me over who should wear the jacket.” Jaejoong still did not look convinced so Eve did puppy eyes on him. ”Pretty please, jagiya?”

Her sweet voice that sounded sweeter than honey made him blinked furiously and was enough to make a fully-grown man blushed. ”O… Kay…” He stuttered.

“Good!” Eve smiled in victory and stared at him with dreamy eyes. ”Jae… You know something?  You’re extremely charming. Whether it’s the inner or the outer.”

Jaejoong chuckled at her sudden confession. ”You’re just like how you describe me. It must be a blessing from my early life to be able to meet you and get you in my hands.”

Eve smiled as she rested her head on his broad shoulder. The reason why she could live a happy life now was all to Jaejoong. He helped her through her difficulty of trusting people, to loving people and to believe that the world was actually wonderful. He was there when she needed him. He was there when she felt lonely. He was there to shower her with abundant love and care. He was more than what she wished for.

“Let’s share this jacket since no one is putting it on.” Jaejoong wrapped Eve in his jacket while wearing it. His arms securely tied around her waist like metal chains, never wanting to let go of her. ”I’m going to miss my dear princess the whole of next week.”

“You still will be able to meet me no matter how tight your schedule is, right? We just live next door to each other.”

“We’re leaving to Japan for the whole of next week for certain promotions. Don’t think we’ll be back so soon. Probably be there for one week and then come back to Korea.” Jaejoong pouted like a small child. He hugged Eve even tighter, clearly showing that he did not want to let go. ”Eveeeeee…”

“Jaeeejoonggg… I’ll be missing you too. Every minute of my life, I’ll be thinking about you.” She smiled. ”Just make sure you take care of yourself when you’re there. Don’t make me worry for you.”

“Can’t I bring you along with me?”

She shook her head. ”I’m afraid not. I’ve got work. Not that I put work above you, just that I don’t want to distract you from your work. Oppa said that the company will be busy the following week because there will be shoots after shoots. Celebrities are having so many photoshoots these days. Don’t worry, you’ll survive sweetheart.”

“Alright. I don’t have you with me, I still got Yunho. Yunjae, just like the fans like it.” He tried to make her jealous. But obviously, jealousy does not seem to exist in her system. Especially when it comes to her beloved and her good friend which is a guy.

“Well… by all means do it. If Yunho and Jaejoong are called Yunjae, then doesn’t Eve and Jaejoong called Jaeeve?”

“No, I like it to be Jaeve. Without the extra E. It’s like as though each word can’t form with that E in the middle. For example, Jae can’t be formed without the E neither can Eve be formed with that E. It’s like we’re inseparable. Does that make sense? We’re born to be together.” Jaejoong gave a silent laughter.

Eve thought at his explanation for a while. That truly made sense to her, of course. She understood clearly that she could not survive without Jaejoong and that he showed that he could not survive without her either. ”It makes sense. My boy sure is smart!” She pinched his cheeks playfully.

“Of course! My princess doesn’t get attract to brainless guys.” He rubbed his nose at the tip of her nose. ”I really do love you. Be sure to remember that forever.”

She giggled,”Yes sir. You remember that I love you too.”

“Alright! We better get going back. Big day tomorrow!” He easily swooped her up in his arms in bridalstyle and carried her to his car. Eve had her arms securely tighten around his neck to prevent her from falling from his sudden movement.

Just as the couple got in the car, they heard a feminine squall. “Ouch!”

Eve got out of the car and ran over to the lady that tripped and fell over the huge luggage. “Are you alright, Miss?”

“Oh, thank you. But I think I just sprain my ankle.” The lady replied. She had her hair in short length just above her shoulders in light shades of chocolate brown. Although it gave her a more cooler look, it also brought her a sophisticated touch on her whole features. Her eyes sparkled under her thick long lashes and her sharp nose with her pink lips made her a natural beauty.

“Venus?” Eve questioned when the short-haired lady turned around to meet her face to face.

“Evey?” The lady had the same response. “How come you are here?”

“Well, shouldn’t I be asking you that? I came back to Korea not long ago and decided to stay here for good.”

“I figure that nowhere else is better than home so here I am, back to Seoul.” Venus smiled proudly at herself. “But it’s been years since I’m back so I’m just a little lost around the neighbourhood.”

Eve laughed at her silliness. “You can stay with me for the period. Mother got me a pretty empty yet large apartment. But if you don’t mind, I got other two mates that’s staying too.”

“Is that your boyfriend? He looks really handsome.” She pointed over at Jaejoong leaning against the tree, answering a phone call.

“Hmm… Yes. And now, will you answer me? We can get there once you decide.”

Venus snapped out of her staring and nodded vigorously. “A hack of yes! I need a place to stay. Guess I decide everything too quickly that I din’t even have a place to stay just yet. Thanks Evey!” She hugged her.

“Cut that nickname out. I’m Eve, not Evey.” Eve frowned. “Yeah, let’s go.”

When Eve’s phone rang, she picked it up to find that it was Yoochun in the other line. “Eve! Come home soon kay? Omma, Appa and Natalie are here to see you! Don’t enjoy too much with Jaejoongie hyung! Don’t you be heartless to forget us! Be back! Bye!”

CHAPTER 58

“Hello?” Chillie picked up her phone and answered it. It was late at night already but she was not asleep, she had too much on her mind.

“Hey baby. Not asleep? You need your beauty sleep, you know.” His husky voice filled her ear through the cell phone. Yoochun was on the other line.

When she heard his husky voice on the other line, she sat up straight immediately. She then cleared her throat and coldly replied,“What’s the matter? And don’t you call me baby.”

Yoochun laughed. It was obvious to him that she was trying a little too hard to act cold towards his passionate self. “Aww baby, I just called to ask you out since you’re not asleep. Want to watch sunrise with me?”

“Sunrise? At this hour? I thought you and the guys got to go Japan tomorrow.”

“Yes baby, this hour sunrise. We’re going to Japan but before I go, I want to spend some time with my girl. 5 minutes and I’ll be down. You go down now, okay? See you downstairs baby!” With that, he hanged up the phone leaving Chillie dumbfounded on the other line.

Aish, that stupid Yoochun! She ruffled her hair in frustration and got off the bed. Chillie put on a pullover and rushed out the house silently, not wanting to wake the rest up.

———-

A smile lit up on Chillie’s face when she saw her handsome Yoochun leaning against his car, enjoying the early morning breeze gently caressing his cheeks and as his hair gently danced in the breeze, Chillie was totally mesmerised by that unspoken charm.

Her feet were still rooted to the ground when Yoochun turned around. “Hey, am I that handsome to have my baby girl drooling while staring?”

She turned away to hide her blushing face as she approached him. “You’re thinking too highly of yourself.” She scratched her head.

He reached out to pull her arm and pressed her against his car with him on top of her. His face just inches away from hers. Their close skinship made Chillie blinked furiously from the heat. “You’re blushing, baby girl.”

Chillie tilted her face to the side and mumbled under her breath. “Get off me.”

“Yeah sure.” Yoochun chuckled and gave her a light kiss on her cheek before getting off her. He held the car door open and said,“C’mon, get in.”

She grimaced and ducked in his car without any argument. Her heart had not settle from the close skinship just now.

———-

“Where are we?” Chillie asked, looking around once she stepped out of the car.

Yoochun held her hand and said,“This is the beach to watch sunrise. Come, I’ll bring you closer.”

Yoochun set her down on the sand and sat beside her. The sound of waves crashing onto the shore and the aroma of beautiful early morning breeze were adding onto the beautiful atmosphere.

He reached out to take a loose strand of her hair and set it back gently. “You’re gorgeous.”

Chillie just smiled sheepishly and tucked the rest of her hair back her ear. She was embarrassed from his intense staring. “Yoochun-ah, stop staring at me like that.” It was not more than a whisper.

He took her chin and tilted her head to face him. He stared lovingly into her eyes and commented,“I can’t help it. You’re very beautiful.”

Chillie just stared back at him. She was lost in his deep eyes that showed so many emotions that she could never make sense of.

“Will you be my girl? I want to be there for you when you smile, to share your joy. I want to be there for you when you cry, to share your sorrow. I want to give you my shoulder to cry on, to lean on. I want to embrace you when you need a hug. I want to shower you with abundance of love and care, to let you know that you’re never alone.” He leaned forward to wait to kiss her.

Chillie did not give him an immediate answer. She just leaned forward to give him a light and quick kiss on his lips.

Her sudden act made him sat still awhile. He blinked a few times and smiled from ear-to-ear. His smile was a very naive and innocent smile. “So it’s a yes, I assume?”

She nodded in response. “You’re now officially my baby girl!” Yoochun stood up abruptly, pulling her up and then hugged her tight, spinning her around in circles.

“Ah! Yoochun!” She buried her face into his shoulder blade and laughed.

He continued spinning. “I love you, baby girl! I’m a happy man now!”

“Yoochun-ah, can you put me down now? I’m getting a headache already.”

“Alright alright.” He laughed and set her down, still smiling.

“Baby-ah, you haven’t give me my full kiss yet. Do I have to keep waiting for it?” Chillie asked sweetly with a smile lingering on her lips.

“Huh?” Yoochun’s eyes widened. “Did I hear you wrongly?”

She did not answer him. She just pointed at her lips and pouted.

“Naughty girl.” He smirked and pulled her closer to have his lips crashed onto hers. It was a gentle kiss yet there was a huge wave of passion from both flowing through in the kiss.

CHAPTER 59

“Changmin, wake up!” Junsu shook him roughly. “We’re going to be late!”

Changmin snuggled deeper into his pillow. He was smiling from his sweet dream and wishing that he would never wake up to reality. “Natalie…” He mumbled, still smiling like a fool in love.

“Yah! Shim Changmin!” Junsu kicked him off his bed and reared the pillow from his grasp. “Wake up already! And stop kissing my poor pillow!”

“Ouch! Hyung, what was that for!” Changmin grimaced in pain, rubbing his now injured bottom.

“Go prepared! Manager hyung would be happy if we’re late. You forget we’re going to Japan today!”

“Oh!” Immediately he got up from the floor and grabbed his things, rushing into the bathroom.

Junsu sighed and walked out of his bedroom. “Minnie is bathing now. He finally woke up.”

“Junsu yah, you alright there? You look as though you came back from a war.” Yoochun pat his friend on the shoulder.

“That little kid was mumbling some name that I can’t hear. And he was kissing my poor pillow!!!”

Hearing that, Yoochun and the rest burst into laughter. “What?! He was kissing a pillow? That’s insane!” Yoochun exclaimed.

“Is he mumbling some girl by the name of Natalie?” Yunho asked with a hint of curiousity.

Junsu nodded. “Think so.”

By the time he answered, Yoochun was leaning back on the chair laughing and holding his stomach. “Dongbang’s maknae fell so hard for Eve’s cousin! That now makes Jaejoong hyung and Changmin relatives!”

“What’s so funny here?” Changmin walked to group with a towel ruffling his hair dry. “I can hear laughters even from the bathroom. Yoochun hyung especially.”

Junsu rushed to Changmin and grabbed him by the arm. “Speak! Why are you kissing my poor pillow while mumbling ‘Natalie’?” It was like interrogation from a police officer.

“Huh?” Changmin scratched his head in confusion an embarrassment. Did I really said her name out loud? I thought I was dreaming… The guys glared at him for an answer. “Hmm…”

———-

A text message from Chunnie baby:
Baby, you take care okay? Don’t miss me too much while I’m away. Love you babe.

Chillie looked at the screen and smiled. She still remembered that dawn they said, that predawn they kissed passionately both parties willing. She used her index finger to trace his lips on hers, his soft kiss still lingered on hers. How romantic…

“Yoochun again?” Jin nudged her, waking her up from the romantic kissing mode.

“Yeah.” She grinned, oh so proud of her man. She could finally and officially Yoochun her man, labelled him as her man.

“Welcome to the world of love!” Jin hugged her sweetly. “It’s about time that you stopped playing hard to get.”

“Can’t blame me. Eve taught me that because Yoochun was such an ass.” She shrugged.

“Speaking of that little devil, where did she go today?”

“She said she had plans. Hmm…” Chillie scratched her head. “If I’m not wrong, she said she’s going to some audition?”

“Audition?”

———-

“Number 333, please enter the room.” The receptionist announced through the speakers. It was the audition of modelling for the upcoming endorsement with the famous Dong Bang Shin Ki, specifically only with Kim Jaejoong.

Eve looked at the number ticket she gotten earlier. “Number 333, finally it’s my turn. Eve, you can do it!” She stood up, portraying confidence and entered the auditioning room.

“Hello there, give us a short introduction of yourself.” One of the female judges said.

Eve nodded and began,“I’m Eve Elizabeth Reaser. I’m not a full Korean blood, I’m mixed American and Korean. I do best in photography and that’s my passion.”

“So you know which side you look best in a photoshoot?”

“Photography may be my passion but I do shots for others, not including myself. But at least I feel I’ve a little experience in photography to lessen the burden of the photographer.”

Her explaination gained a nod from the judges, hinting she had herself some chances. “Alright, we will take that into account. Hmm… Can you proceed outside to wait? We would like some word among ourselves.”

“Sure, thank you.” Eve bowed with respect and proceeded out as instructed.

———

“Who could be calling me at this hour?” Jaejoong picked up his ringing phone and grinned once he saw the caller id. He answered with his ever sweet voice that melted every lady’s heart. “Hey love.”

“Hey.” She lipped back through the phone.

“Miss me already? It’s just one day.”

She laughed. “Which girlfriend doesn’t miss her man when her man is away from the country?”

“Yeah I miss you too. Without you here is boring. No one to cuddle, no one to tell ‘I love you’ to, no one to smooth my hair for me when it’s messy.” Eve could almost hear him pouting on the other line. How adorable was her man.

“You poor thing. Don’t worry, you’ll have a surprise when you get back to Korea. Something exciting will happen! I can’t wait!”

Jaejoong raised his brows. “Love, don’t keep me in the suspense. Tell me now? You’ll keep me thinking the whole time here.”

“Like I said, it’s a surprise. If I tell you then it won’t be fun. Go do your work! Call me when you’re free later at night okay? Love you sweetheart.”

“Aish… Love you too.” Jaejoong hung up in utter defeat. He knew if his lover was determined to keep something in secret, nothing would be big enough to shake her out of her determination.

“Hyung, what’s wrong?” Yoochun walked in just nice the moment he huffed a sigh.

Jaejoong rubbed his eyes. “Nothing’s wrong. It’s just your cute little sister is keeping something from me. She said I’ll know when I return back to Korea.”

Yoochun chuckled at the couple. He always found it amusing how Eve had the ability to keep his hyung under her control. She sure had her own unique ways of dealing with his mind. “Just wait a few more days and we’ll be back. By then, she would have to tell you and you will find out. Why are you sighing?”

“She sounded so excited and I’m here anticipating for that surprise. You know how much I hate to be kept in the suspense.”

“Be patience. She’s one hard nut to break. Like a complicated puzzle she is. It takes time to get her the way you want her to be. That’s why she is my beloved little girl.”

CHAPTER 60

“Finally we are at our doorsteps.” Junsu yawned and stretched his arms.

“The husbands are back but where are the wives? Aren’t they suppose to welcome us with a warm hug?” Yoochun frowned.

Junsu laughed. “Maybe they don’t want to see you.”

“Aish. How bad our wives are. Bad choice.”

“Yoochunnie ah, what did you say about bad choices?” Chillie appeared out of a sudden and hugged him from the back.

Cold sweats broke out on his forehead. He knew when his girl called his name so sweetly, there was nothing good out of it. “Ah baby girl… How sweet of you to be here.”

Chillie scowled and pushed him away. “Yeah righttt… I’m a bad choice uh? Fine.”
She then walked away.

“Junsu-yah…” Jin sang as she danced to her man and pecked him on the lips. “I miss you.”

Junsu chuckled and hugged her tight, breathing in her aroma that he had missed the one whole week away. “I miss my Jinnie-yah.”

Natalie stood by the corner, watching as the couple reunited. She was oblivious to the fact that Changmin was just beside her. “Hey. Natalie right?”

She turned and came face-to-face with a gorgeous figure. She smiled and said,“I’m Natalie. You’re Changmin right?”

“That’s right. Oh, I didn’t know you read.” He pointed to the book that she had in her left hand.

“I love reading a lot.”

“I love reading just as much. It’s always interesting to learn something new from books read.”

Natalie was amused. She had never found guys that loved to read just as she did. She even thought once that none of the male species alive ever read a book. “Really? Guess we do have a lot to talk about.”

We got more than books to talk about… Changmin smirked in his head.

———-

“Yoboseyo?”

His sexy voice flowed in her ear. “Hey love. Where are you?”

“I’m outside my work place. Work just ended. I miss you, Jae.” Eve still blushed at giving him a shorter name, a pet name to be exact.

“Wait for me there. I’ll be there to fetch you in a jiffy.” He hung up after he spoke what he wanted to.

“But-” Eve wanted to tell him that he did not need to since he just came back from Japan and must be really worn out. She ruffled her hair and sighed. “That Jaejoong…”

While she was just standing by the road waiting for her beloved man, a group of young girls approached her. One of them gathered up courage and asked,“Annyeonghaseyo Unnie, are you by any chance Eve Elizabeth, Kim Jaejoong’s girlfriend?”

Goodness, this is the tenth time in the week. That stupid Jaejoong… Eve cursed in her head. She smiled at the young girls that approached her. “Hmm… Yes, I’m Eve Elizabeth.”

“Oh my goodness! Jaejoong’s girlfriend!” “She’s so pretty!” “I can’t believe we met her!” Eve heard the girls turned to each other and shrieked crazily among themselves. She shuddered.

“Unnie, can we take a photo with you?” One of the girls asked politely.

“Yeah sure.”

They took photo with Eve and were so excited to see her in person. Because of Jaejoong’s confession during the concert, she had somehow became a star. Fans sent her from letters to emails, from emails to presents at her doorsteps… Even in her workplace, there were presents from fangirls. When there were fans that could accept her, there were fans that detested her as well. Anti-fans would send her emails, saying ‘You slut! Don’t you even dare to steal our Oppa away from us! Never will we accept you!’ and threats like ‘Stay away from our Oppa or else we will never let you stay alive in this world!’

“Love, you alright?” His beautiful voice shook her up from her thoughts. Eve blinked a few times to see Jaejoong in front of her, waving his hand at her.

She smiled and held his hand down. “I’m fine.”

“That’s good.” He bent forward to give her a quick kiss to receive screaming from the fangirls behind.

Jaejoong gave Eve a questioned look. “Those are your fangirls. They saw me here and asked whether I’m Eve Elizabeth, Kim Jaejoong’s girlfriend. I said yes and they requested to take a photo with me then you arrived.”

“Ah, I get it.” He laughed and interwined his fingers with her. “Let’s get you back home to rest.”

———-

She knocked on the door lightly to receive approval to open the door and entered. He looked up from his book, his pair of black spectacles hung loosely on the bridge of his nose. “Hey Changmin, dinner’s served. Eve asked me to come in and get you.”

“Thanks.” Changmin smiled with appreciation.

She tilted her head to the side, showing somehow she was thinking. She approached the side of his bed and sat down beside him. The title of the book that he was holding was very familiar to her… “You read this book too?”

He raised his brow as he hung up the book to let her have a fairer view of it. “You mean this?” She nodded. “Yeah this is my favorite book.”

Her eyes sparkled. “We really do have something in common! This is my favorite book too! I never thought a guy like you would actually like it.”

“A guy like me?”

She laughed. “Nothing offensive here. Just surprised that an intellectual guy like you read this kind of novel.”

“I admire how the author uses words to phrase it in a way so vividly for readers to imagine. Certain scenes are interesting too…”

Natalie smiled. She stared blankly at Changmin as he continued to discuss about what he took out from the novel. Shim Changmin… Am I starting to grow feelings for you? She shook her head to shake the thoughts off. No! It’s just my imagination… Stay clear, Natalie.

———-

“Yunho sunbae, do you remember me?” The girl in short-haired waved sheepishly.

Yunho looked at her, strained his eyes to try to recall her face from anywhere that he had been. “Ah!” He snapped his fingers. “You’re Venus, right?”

She smiled ever so wide and nodded. Yunho, her first crush, was her dance mate from her teenage years. They practically grew up together and were perfect dance partners. From young, Venus had loved Yunho but Yunho only treated her as a sister. She still remembered him saying ‘Venus-ah, you will always be my sister, my friend. We won’t be lovers ever when we grow up’.

“How come you are here?”

Eve draped her arm around Venus’s neck. “She’s my friend. And she’s staying with us girls.” Venus simply nodded as agreement with Eve.

She indeed grew up a lot… Even prettier now. Yunho shook his head. Aish, what am I thinking.

———-

“Jin, where are you going?” Eve asked when she saw Jin opening the main door in her white night gown.

Jin turned and smiled sheepishly. “I’m going over to accompany Su. I miss him a lot. It’s been long since I see him.”

“Let her be. Her Junsu is more important.” Chillie appeared from nowhere, rubbing her eyes.

“Alright, Jin. See you in the morning.” Eve went over to hug Jin before she went out of the apartment.

———-

A text message from Changmin:
Yoochun hyung is romantic to the core that I can’t stand it. Junsu hyung too… Oh, and Jaejoong hyung is worst. You don’t know how bad to live with three lovesick guys under one roof that entire week we were in Japan. It’s crazy.

Natalie bit in a giggle from rolling off her tongue while she typed away on her phone.

A text message from Natalie:
Well… Living under three girls that are madly in love isn’t as bad. We seldom talk about those guys. But Chillie, Jin and Eve are fortunate girls to have their guys so doting on them.

Changmin stared at his phone screen and said,“I want to make you feel fortunate too.”

A text message from Changmin:
Do you want to catch a movie with me this Saturday night? We are having a day off so let’s enjoy. Hyungs are planning for a movie marathon in our apartment. Wanna join? I promise it’ll be fun. I’ll be there if you feel bored or left out.

Natalie sighed. “What is it that you can make me feel so moved? I can’t fall for you. It’s bad to get together with a celebrity. Aish… And I’m just an ordinary girl. A gorgeous guy like him won’t fall for me. I stand no chance… Mind as well give up this feeling.”

She flipped her phone closed and put it aside as she lied down and closed her eyes, waiting to drop into deep slumber.

CHAPTER 61

“Miss Elizabeth, you’re here. Please proceed to the dressing room. The make-up artist will prepare you for the shoot.” The in-charge person said.

Eve gave a bow and smiled before heading to the dressing room. She sat in front of the bright mirror table and a make-up artist began her magic on her face. “Actually you don’t need much make-up on. You’re really beautiful.” The make-up artist commented as Eve just smiled sweetly towards the comment.

Jaejoong’s gonna be shocked to see me here. Eve giggled like a schoolgirl in her mind.

Then she heard some whispers from the ladies in the dressing room. “Oh my goodess, Kim Jaejoong is here. I never seen him in person before. He sure is attractive!” The lady shrieked.

“Aish, Kim Jaejoong…” Eve mumbled under her breath. She had to remember him to keep his charm under control. Her boyfriend was one attractive good catch to all females out there. Eve was also afraid that that one day would come that she would no longer have that attraction to keep him by her side.

Jaejoong bowed and greeted all the staffs that were present. “Good morning everyone! Please take care of me through the photoshoot.”

“Will do!” The female staffs all replied in pure enthusiasm.

By the time when Eve was done with all the appropriate dressing up, Jaejoong had just entered the dressing room to get ready. Jaejoong did not know that his partner that he was paired up with for the photoshoot was her girlfriend, Eve Elizabeth.

“Oh Jaejoong, come over to meet your partner.” The in-charge hollered out for Jaejoong to come over his side. Eve was in front of the in-charge, trying to hide as much of her face for Jaejoong to not see from far. She wanted to see his shocked face badly when he saw her upclose that she was actually her partner for this magazine photoshoot.

Jaejoong nonchalantly walked over to the in-charge’s side and greeted the lady with a handshake,“Hi there, I’m Kim Jaejoong. Nice to be collaborate with you on this magazine photoshoot.” Jaejoong obviously could not see her face clearly as the lights were out on her.

Eve took a step forward to have lights brightened up her face for Jaejoong to have a glance and smiled, taking his hand in a firm handshake. “Hello, I’m Eve Elizabeth. You can just call me Eve. It’s definitely a great pleasure to see you in person. I’m a great fan of you.” She grinned when she saw Jaejoong’s face changed from nonchalant to shocked. I got you, Kim Jaejoong.

Jaejoong held her hand in mid-air and froze there, not able to absorb the sudden information into his head. Now he understood Eve’s surprise for him. Now everything clicked into the right place.

The in-charge waved his hand in front of Jaejoong, trying to get his soul back in his body as he stood there like a dead log just staring blankly at Eve. “Jaejoong, you alright there?”

Jaejoong blinked to clear his vision then cleared his throat awkwardly to speak. “Yes sir, I’m fine. I’m just a little shocked to see such beauty first time in my life.”

Eve smiled. “Im flattered, Kim Jaejoong.” Her innocent smile meant so much more behind. It was like she was laughing Jaejoong of his sudden change of facial expression.

The in-charge gave a hearty laughter. “Alright, the photoshoot can begin now. I’ll get the crews ready while you guys have a short chat. A get-to-know-each-other, okay?”

“Yeah sure. No problem.” Both Eve and Jaejoong replied in unison.

Once the in-charge was away, Jaejoong dropped his smile and said in a soft voice,“How come you’re here?”

“Tada! This is my surprise for you!”

Jaejoong shook his head in defeat. “You’re one crazy girl. Why did you do this?”

Eve blinked in confusion and bit her bottom lip. “You don’t like it?”

“No love. It’s just that I never expect you to be auditioning for this kind of stuff. So you like the official way too now?”

Eve folded her arms. “No way. I just want to experience one time of work with you. Don’t you silly boy think too much. I’m not into the official relationship thing.”

“Eve and Jaejoong, please get ready!” The in-charge shouted.

During the photoshoot, it was easy for the couple to get into close shots and they looked natural behaving like intimately. In certain shots, Jaejoong would put his arm around waist and rested his head on her shoulder like a sweet couple would do. The photographer was really impressed how these two behaved so naturally in front of the camera. “Okay, nice shot. Now Jaejoong, I want you to hug Eve from the back.” Everytime they had close skinship, Eve would blush a little, making her cheeks more rosy.

“Good job guys! We can pack up early today!” The in-charge announced. Then he turned to the couple and said,“Nice job. Thank you for the wonderful cooperation.”

“Thank you too.” The couple bowed. Of course, the in-charge and the staffs did not know that Eve and Jaejoong were couple for real.

Eve turned and wanted to say something to Jaejoong.  “Jae-” But she was cut off by a extremely high-pitched voice.

“Jaejoong oppa!” The lady dived into his arms and hugged him tightly. “I miss you so much!”

Jaejoong was stunned for a moment but he picked up his cool. “Hey Aya, it’s been really long since I’ve seen you.”

She let go of him and stood in front of him, pouting cutely. “Oppa, you have been so busy. How can you forget about me!”

He laughed. “Of course I didn’t forget about you. We can meet up often now that I’ve more time on hand.”

She smiled in victory. “Oppa, who is she?” She pointed at Eve. “She looks so familiar.”

“Oh, she’s Eve. My girlfriend.” Jaejoong pulled Eve over to his side while he introduced her to Aya. “And Eve, she’s Aya. She is my childhood friend who happens to be a model now.”

“Hi Eve!” Aya hugged the shocked Eve, then she whispered in her ear,“I haven’t forgotten about you.”

“Min-Jee, what do you want from me.”

“You to be miserable.” Aya smirked by her ear and then pulled away. She returned her attention to Jaejoong. “Oppa, I really like her. Can we please hang out more often? I want to get to know her better afterall she’s oppa’s girlfriend.”

“We sure will hang out more often. I’ll give you back the time we missed out together.”

Eve held her forehead as past incidents rushed into her head without a warning, making her dizzy. She wobbled and luckily Jaejoong caught her in time. “You okay?” He asked caringly.

His loving action made Aya sick.

Eve waved her hand and backed away from his touch. “I’m fine. I just need some rest. I’ll leave first.” She replied coldly and left the hall, leaving Jaejoong dumbfounded.

“But Eve-”

Aya pulled his arm. “Let’s go have a coffee somewhere oppa! C’mon, she’ll be fine.”

CHAPTER 62

“Girls, you’re here!” Junsu exclaimed. He was so excited to have a movie marathon.

“Noona!” Changmin ran to give the pale Eve a hug. “I haven’t seen you for so long.”

Eve feigned a smile.

“Noona, you fine? You look so pale.” He continued.

Eve shook her head and placed her hand on top of his which was touching the side of her arm. “I’m fine. Let’s catch some movie.”

Natalie made herself comfortable with Changmin by her side. She was grabbing onto his arm from the horror emerging from the screen. Changmin secretly smirked. Whenever Natalie grabbed him, his heart probably did a backflip.

Jin was in the arms of Junsu, nicely snuggled up into his chest. The couple was more interested in themselves than keeping their focus on the dumb horror movie. Junsu kept whispering ‘Saranghae jagiya’ in her ears, making her giggled like a schoolgirl. They were still as romantic as before.

Chillie was trying hard to keep her attention on the movie but sitting beside her lover who had his arms around her waist and head rested on her shoulder was like the toughest challenge ever. Yoochun would sneakily disturb her by turning his head to have his face in her shoulder blade then planted a soft kiss on her neck. Chillie would have a face red like a tomato.

Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu. Birds of the same feathers indeed flocked together.

Venus and Yunho were sitting side by side. Both were keeping their eyes glued on the television screen. Venus sighed quietly when she took a quick glance at the couples from the corner of her eyes. How she wished she could snuggle up in Yunho’s muscular arms. She sneezed as the cold air started to get to her. All she could do was to rub her arms with her small palms until Yunho left and came back with a coat, wrapping it around her petite figure.

“Thank sunbae.” She said sheepishly.

Yunho then flashed his million dollar smile and said,“No problem. Take care of your body okay? Your body isn’t strong to begin with. During practices, you always need to wear a thicker coat than the rest.”

She nodded. He takes note of that…

Eve had her eyes on the screen but her mind was wondering away. Questions like ‘why is she back’, ‘what does she want this time’ and ‘what if she’s here to take Jaejoong away from me’ kept popping in her head. Stinging pain started to swirl inside of her head. She held her head in her hands like as though to hold it there to prevent her brains from splattering out. She grunted in pain.

“Eve, are you okay?” Jaejoong whispered, reaching out to touch her arm. Eve had been quiet since she stepped into the boys’ apartment. Whenever Jaejoong wanted to touch her, she backed away like his hand had some disease. This time was no exception. It was like an involuntary action. She could not help it.

“I’m fine. Just don’t touch me.” She sounded like she was giving him a warning.

Now Jaejoong was starting to panick. “You sure?”

“Yes. I need to leave.” She stood up in the darkest and said to the group that stared blankly at her sudden action,“Hey guys, I’m not feeling really good here. If you need me, I’ll be back in my apartment resting. Enjoy the movie.” Eve bowed and apologised before leaving. She just left the group staring at emptiness where she stood just now.

Yoochun put the movie to a pause and got up to switch on the lights. “Something’s wrong?” He asked Jaejoong.

Jaejoong shrugged. “She’s been like this ever since we came back from the photoshoot. Before the photoshoot, she was still fine. And every time I want to touch her in the simplest way, she would back off like my hand has some sort of disease or germs.”

“That’s strange. She had been bubbly and all few days before.” Chillie said.

“Do you girls want to go back there and talk to her?” Yunho popped up an suggestion.

The girls shook their heads and Venus replied,“Eve would never liked that. Probably just give her time. By then, she will be able to sort out whatever that’s keeping her shut from Jaejoong.”

“Yeah. Maybe that’s the best way for now.” Jaejoong sighed.

“Cheer up, hyung. Noona just needs some time. It won’t take forever so don’t you worry. And noona’s sensible. She’ll sort it out well and be back to our bubbly lovely noona.” Changmin gave Jaejoong an encouraging pat on the back.

“Don’t think about it, Jaejoong. She’ll be fine soon.” Jin gave him a encouraging smile.

“We’ll have our sweet Eve back soon.” Junsu chimed in.

“Hopefully so.”

———-

Eve stared at her phone screen which had Kimbum’s contact showing. “She’s back. Should I tell him? Probably he knows one or two about what she wants.”

Then her phone beeped. ‘Incoming message from Jaejoong my love,’ it says.

Love, whatever you’re going through now, just know that I’ll be there for you. Forever. Just don’t make me worry too much. I love you. Rest well.

“I’m sorry, Jaejoong.” Eve mumbled to the message. “I love you too much to lose you. How could I ever tell you about Min-Jee or Aya, your childhood friend who happens to be the cause of to why I’m what I am now?”

Then she dialled his number. The forbidden number that she would never want to dial but she did anyway.

“Hello Kimbum. It’s Eve Elizabeth.”

CHAPTER 63

“Jaejoong oppa!” Aya screamed into the phone when she heard him answered her call.

He paused. “Aya?”

“Yes, it’s me. Oppa, I’m organising a party tomorrow. And you and the others are invited. Please come. Oh! And I beg you to bring Eve unnie along. I really like her and am interested to know her more.”

“Sure. You send me the details and we’ll definitely be there tomorrow.” Jaejoong smiled, knowing that his childhood friend was accepting his girlfriend. That was a great assurance that he made the right choice.

But why was he basing their relationship on Aya? That was a question that he could not answer or even thought of. Not just yet, but probably in the future he would know the answer to this question.

———-

“Sorry Jaejoong, I have lessons to teach tomorrow. I don’t think I can make it.” Chillie said.

“Me too.” Jin chimed in.

If you did not know, Chillie and Jin both had opened up a studio. Chillie pretty much in-charge-of the dance lessons, Jin singing lessons.

“Eve?” Jaejoong turned to his partner, praying mentally it would be a yes. It was important that his childhood friend and his girlfriend got along with each other. “You going? Aya specially kind of begged me to bring you along. You will disappoint her if you don’t attend.”

Eve pursed her lips then drifting into deep thought. What exactly is her motive for making me go? She thought. She blinked to put her focus onto Jaejoong’s face. His lips slightly pouted and those eyes… They shimmered with hope, the kind of hope that she dared not to shatter. She loved him too much to disappoint him. Gently, she reached out to touch his face and said in a exhausted tone,“I’m free. I can attend her party with you.”

That moment she said a yes, his face immediately shined with joy. It was so precious.

“Thanks, love.” He smiled and pulled her in a hug. It had been days since they had any physical contact. Eve had been cooping in her room ever since the first meetin with Aya. It was a miracle that she managed to overcome it that quickly.

———-

“There you are, oppa!” She jumped into his arms that held out wide for her. “You came!”

Jaejoong smiled. “Of course I’ll come. I’ve never break my promise to you. And I’ve also brought Eve here as you requested.”

Aya gave him a oh-so-innocent smile but when she turned to Eve, back facing Jaejoong, she grinned and mouthed ‘I got your Jaejoong’ to her. “Hello unnie! I’m so extremely happy that you came along with oppa!” Aya said, trying to act as lovely as possible in front of Jaejoong.

The party had started not long ago. All invited guests were either popular faces in Korea or hot models on the runway. Aya had her hands all over Jaejoong, linked hands or her head leaning on the side of his arm, while she introduced him to her friends. That left Eve alone sitting by the poolside.

“Why…” Eve stared at Aya from afar. “You’ve ruined my previous relationship with KimBum. I’ve backed off, giving you what you wanted. My heart was broken once and still you’re not satisfied? I’ve nothing more to give you.”

“My dear, in deep thought?” Her feminine high-pitched voice came ringing in her ear. It stung.

Eve clearly knew who was it. That irritating voice that made her miserable for that half of her life. Because not wanting to entertain her nonsense, Eve stood up and prepared to leave. She did not even want to share the same oxygen content with her.

“Oh no, where are you going?” Aya held her back.

“Away from you.”

Aya giggled. Those giggles that rolled off her vicious tongue were witchlike. It was the least pleasant. “My dear Eve… You haven’t change a least bit. Still that cold to me uh? Well, let me tell you something. It’s clear that your Jaejoong will soon be mine. Afterall, can’t you see that you’re nothing compared to me? Guys want girls with figure. But look at you, you’re just a bag of bones.” She held her thin arm up in the air, as if to examine it. “Jaejoong won’t want that. He won’t even think about touching you. Just admit it, he’s not more than what KimBum is. Lustful creature.” Aya rolled her eyes with pure arrogance.

That made Eve’s blood boiled. Aya could insult her in every way she wanted but not Jaejoong. Not the man that she loved dearly. “Don’t talk about him like that.” Eve hissed.

“Like what? Soon, he’ll be like one of the any other desperate guys, begging me to let him touch. Trust me, he’ll dump you real soon. And the reason? To be with me.”

Slap.

With all the patience that Eve had in the world, there was a limit to it. She would not allow anyone to talk about her man like that, to insult him like that. No way she would take it. “Speak for yourself, whore.”

Slap. Aya did that.

“How dare you!” Aya pulled her hair.

It was a back and forth. Eve tried to pull off Aya’s hand that was grabbing her hair. And Aya would tightened her grip. It wasn’t a catfight because Eve wasn’t fighting with her. She had no intention to fight with Aya.

“Back off!” Aya snarled. She was being more aggressive until the corner of her eye caught Jaejoong looking for them. Once she saw him looking their way, she used Eve’s hands to push herself into the waters of the pool.

Evil.

“Aya!” Jaejoong shouted and came dashing out to save her.

“Help! Help! I can’t swim!” Aya fakely struggled in the waters, screaming like she was about to drown.

Eve scoffed. It was so obvious that all was an act. Hey, she knew Aya as Min-Jee a few years ago. They were best of friends, that’s why Min-Jee knew KimBum and knew Eve’s weakest spot.

And Min-Jee was the one who saved Eve from drowning before.

When Jaejoong ‘saved’ Aya from the waters, he took off his coat to wrip it around her. He then glared at Eve with such intense eyes that made her shuddered. It shocked her. He had never stared at her that way. It was full of hatred, anger.

“Why did you do that! You knew she can’t swim!” He raised his voice at her.

Betrayal pierced through her deep and on the dot. Replay, replay, replay… Past memories flashed through her head like a bullet train.

The past incident kept replaying in her head. It was KimBum, her past lover, holding Min-Jee(known as Aya now) in his arms. Similar to what Jaejoong was doing.

“How could you, Eve!” She heard KimBum said with so much hatred and anger. “She was just trying to help!” Every word of anger was like poison that slowly pierced through her flesh.

First, KimBum. Now, Jaejoong.

Click. His words triggered her defense. It was almost like a reflex action, to guard herself, to build a wall around her that nobody could pass through.

“Whatever, Kim Jaejoong.” Eve said with that much coldness as though he was a stranger to her. It was like she subconsciously did not recognize him. And she left the scene.

One part of him wanted to go after her, but another part of him was furious, furious that she responded like that.

“Jae… joong… I’m… scared… I thought I was… going to die…” Aya snuggled deep into his arms that were around her. She hugged him tight, yet smirked so hard against his chest.

He smoothed her hair and pat her back. “Hush now, everything’s fine. You’re not going to die…”

[FIC]Breaking Facade chapter 55

CHAPTER 55

“Alright. Thank you all for the effort.” Eve said after finishing her photoshoot for Super Junior boys.

“Kamsahamnida.” The boys bowed. ”Finally we’re done!

While Eve was packing up her equipment, Kyhyun walked over to her. ”Ms Elizabeth, can I ask you out for an early dinner to express my gratitude?” He asked gentlemanly.

Eve tilted her head up to meet his glance and replied,”I’m so sorry that I don’t think I could make it. I’ve something to attend to in the evening later.”

Kyuhyun blushed at the sight of the pretty lady. ”Oh it’s fine then.”

“Maybe some other days.” She smiled, feeling bad to reject him. Afterall he IS an idol of all fangirls’ heart.

“Eve-ah!” A loud shout came from across the room, catching her attention. Then from there slowly revealing two figures dashing towards Eve. Both of them sling their arms around her and said,”We’re going to be late for the concert.”

“What concert?”

The girls smirked while flashing the tickets in front of her. ”Well… DBSK’s concert.”

“Since when I said I’m going?” Eve pushed their arms off her and continued to pack her stuff.

“I know you never like attending concert or going to crowded noisy places but DBSK’s concert are definitely worth the noise and all.” Jin smiled, already drooling over her Junsu suave on stage.

“Jaejoong will be performing you know and all the fangirls’ are going to drool over him. You sure you don’t wanna go? I bet he’s going on stage all sizzling hot and spicy just like you like it.” Chillie carefully whispered in her ears, making sure no one heard what she said.

Eve replied with a frown, ”Chillie, you are seriously influence with Yoochun. Fine, I’ll go. Don’t want to waste my day anyway.”

“YAY! I knew when I mentioned HIM, she’ll definitely go!” Chillie high-fived Jin.

“Aish…” Eve stood there, looking at those fools giggling at their own achievement of being able to convince her in going to a concert that she would never ever step foot in. If it’s not for Jae, I won’t ever consider. Stupid Jae, why do you have to be an idol and having concerts.

————————————

Meanwhile at Seoul’s World Cup Stadium…

Jaejoong was figdeting around uneasily. ”Junsu, you sure she’s coming?”

“Huh?” Junsu looked up from his game, scratching his head and received a death glare from Yoochun. Junsu’s blur-ness(or is that how you called it) made Jaejoong more anxious. Jaejoong, being Eve’s partner, of course knew that she hated concerts or rather crowded places. And Eve was one stubborn girl and definitely a hard nut to crack. Would she really put this concert into consideration?

“Hyung-ah, can you sit down? My head is starting to spin with you walking back and forth.” The maknae, Changmin, complained with his thumb and index finger pinching the bridge of his nose dramatically.

“Hyung, don’t worry! Baby girl just texted me saying they’re home, changing and about to go out. Eve is with them.” Yoochun reassured him, giving him a pat on the shoulder.

“But Jaejoong, you sure you’re doing it?” Yunho asked in the position of the leader, always wanting the best for his members.

“I really want to do that. That’s the only thing I could do for her.”

“Alright. If that’s what you want, we’ll give you support.” Yunho nodded in approval.

Changmin suddenly jumped up from his seat. ”Yeah hyung. I bet Noona will be touched to the extent of her tears rolling down. I’ll prepare tissues.” He volunteered, waving his hand in the air.

“Alright then. Let’s get prepared.” Yunho instructed.

With his members’ support, Jaejoong felt much better. He trusted that that was the only gift he wanted to give to Eve. He did not know what would happen but hopefully everything would turn out fine.

————————–

A beautiful young lady sat by the edge of the pool, her feet lightly twirling in the water gracefully yet a evil smile hanged on her full lips. ”Eve darling… Enjoy while you still can because this time I’ll make your heart break to a extent that it’s not even mendable.”

The lady held up the photo of Eve and a man, hand in hand walking down the busy streets of Seattle. She used her slim finger to slowly traced Eve’s face and then tore the picture into half, which separated Eve and the man nicely into two separate pieces. She crumpled the half piece with Eve and threw it into the tub of fire. She watched as the flames swallowed the picture and waved, ”Goodbye sweetheart. It was nice knowing that you exist though.”

[FIC]Breaking Facade chapter 54

“EVE ELIZABETH REASER!”

Eve just entered the door with Chillie as the boys went separate ways with them after the departure. The girls did not want to create unneccessary attention to their relationship.

“Stubborn girl, I miss you so much!” Jin ran towards her and gave her a bear hug, ruffling her hair at the same time.

Junsu chuckled at the silliness of the girl that he loved deeply.

Eve went into momentarily shock from the sudden embrace that caught her offguard. Then when she regained her posture, she responded by hugging back and scowled,”Unnie, my hair…”

Jin laughed before letting go. ”I’m sorry. Ah, Chillie! I miss you too! Come here and give me a hug.”

“Junsu oppa, please control unnie.” Eve commented.

“Can’t help it if she’s that adorable.” All Junsu did was shrug. His reply made Eve snorted and rolled her eyes. Changmin couldn’t help but not laugh and clapped at the intense conversation.

“Where are we sleeping tonight?” Chillie asked. ”I’m fine with any place though.”

“Want to sleep in my room?” Yoochun asked in his husky voice as he walked out from the kitchen with a glass of ice water.

Chillie could not stop adrenline from rushing up her cheek, turning them into deep shades of red. ”N…o th…anks.” She stuttered.

“I’ll be sleeping in the living room with Junsu!” Jin said excitedly, raising her hand up like a child asking for permission to do something.

“Don’t worry, I’ve tidied up my room for you girls to stay in.” Jaejoong said from his sudden appearance. His jet black hair was still nicely set and his sleeves were rolled up, showing off his nicely toned lower arms.

“Jaejoong, if we were to stay in your room, where are you sleeping then?” Eve asked with concern. The last thing she ever wanted was to impose on them and making everything inconvenient. She never liked to trouble people which was the reason behind her being independent in every little thing.

“I can either share a room with Yoochun since Yunho won’t be back till tomorrow or be in the living room with Junsu and Changmin.”

“I can share a room with Yoochun so you don’t have to leave your room.” Chillie volunteered. ”Plus that stubborn girl hasn’t recover from her fever yet. I don’t want a fight over the medicine issue. Spare me from it.”

After Chillie said that, immediately she could feel Yoochun smirking away. Dumb girl, what have you done again?! She pinched herself mentally.

“Thanks.” Jaejoong mouthed to her secretly with his back facing Eve so she would not see.

“That’s settled! Let’s start packing away.” Jin said with enthusiasm.

——————————–

“Jaejoong. Eve’s birthday is coming in a few days time. Are you planning anything for her?”

“I haven’t think of anything yet. What do you have in mind, Yoochun?”

“Well, maybe we can surprise her? Just do a small party for her since she hates it when the spotlight is on her.”

“What are the girls planning to do for her?”

“Chillie didn’t tell me a single detail.”

“Hey! I was just about to tell you!” Chillie peeked her head in the door along with Junsu, Jin and Changmin. Then sat down beside the other two. ”Look. Her birthday falls on the same day where Dong Bang Shin Ki is having a concert in Seoul. You guys might not be able to celebrate it with her so maybe after the concert perhaps?”

Everyone was deep in thought.

“Wait. I think I know what to do for her. Come I’ll tell you guys.” Jaejoong suddenly spoke up and gathered then together whispering his plan.

The others stared at him in horror and protested in unison. ”NO WAY!”

Jin scratched the back of her head for a while then responded,”Yeah, no way! She won’t want to attract unnecessary attention.”

“That’s not the point Jin.” Chillie shook her head and explained. ”Have you thought about your fans? And how would they react to this piece of news? Will they accept it or will they harm Eve? I know Cassiopeias are nice but there are some dangerous ones out there. And you know it. And not to forget your company. No relationship allow right?”

Everyone nodded in agreement and Yoochun spoke, ”You never know those extreme Cassies. But Jae, if you think that’s what you want to give her, I’ll support you.”

“We will too. But just to play safe.” The two girls said. ”We love Eve too much to see her get hurt.”

“Hyung, it’s up to you. Anything happens, we will be behind you.” Junsu and Changmin said.

“I’m back.” Eve was back from her last minute photo shooting. Her brother knowing that she was back from Seattle, asked her to come to the company to be the photographer for a magazine that Super Junior was in.

“Let’s not tell Eve first alright?” Jaejoong said, gaining a nod from everyone.

//author’s note

Helloooooo readers. How are you guys doing?
Another chapter posted. How is it? Do you guys like it? Thank you for all the comments recently.

I know it’s hard for some of you to post because of exams or work maybe? But I still hope to see comments.

It just makes me want to write even though I’m stressed to the MAX because of stupid upcoming exam.

In Singapore, it’s called ’O Levels’. I think in Malaysia it’s called ’SPM’. Am I right?

It’s also a major exam before you graduate from high school. Haha, not used to the term ’high school’ cause in Singapore it’s called ’Secondary school’. Sounds kiddish? I know.
Well, I’ll try to post another chapter again soon. Don’t forget I love all of you!

CHAPTER 53

“Shopping! Shopping!” Chillie screamed with excitement, dragging Yoochun’s hand with her. Yoochun chuckled at her silliness.

Eve looked at Jaejoong with worry. ”Are you sure you won’t be recognize?” She avoided his hand that wanted to hold hers.

“Dont worry about it.” He pulled her stubborn hand into his and went to chase after the silly couple in front.

“Changmin ah!”

“Yes noona?”

“Come along!” Eve offered a hand to him. She knew he felt weird for not having a partner.

Changmin smiled widely and accepted the hand. ”Let’s go, noona!”

The group did not realize that there was someone following them. ”Eve Reaser, you won’t be happy for long so enjoy while you can.” The mysterious person snickered.

———————————————-

“Su, we are going back tomorrow right?” Jin hugged him. They spent every single day, every hour, every minute together during the trip. Of course they became closer than ever.

“Yes. I’m sorry princess.” Junsu caressed her cheek.

“We are taking the same flight but we won’t be together after the departure right?”

Junsu looked down, ashamed. ”I’m so sorry.” He felt bad for not being able to admit their relationship. Not able to tell the world that Jin was the only one that he loved. Not able to go out together without sneaking.

Jin brought his chin up so that she could look at him. ”It’s fine. Don’t be guilty over this. I don’t mind all this because it is not important. As long as I’m with you, everything doesn’t matter. Su, I know it sounds cliche but it’s true.”

His eyes gleamed with delight. ”Thank you for being so understanding!”

Jin giggled and took his hand. ”Come. Let’s pack up for tomorrow.”

“Yes princess!”

————————————-

The group definitely had their fun filled and the boys had relaxed from head to toe. However good things don’t last forever, it was time for them to head back to Seoul.

“Goodbye Mrs Lee!” Eve shouted across the living room, bidding goodbye.

Mrs Lee came out running from the kitchen holding onto a piece of small paper. ”Wait Miss!”

She ran to Eve and handed her the small note. ”Your umma instructed me to pass this to you when you are about to leave to Seoul.”

Eve looked at the note curiously and read it silently. It said,

Sweetheart, umma wants to tell you that you have to currently stay with the boys when you return to Seoul. But don’t worry, it’ll only be for two days. I bought a new apartment for you. The new apartment is just next door to the boys. I know you’ll love it! Your appa said that it’s best to have someone to take care of you girls. I do think that way too. Jaejoong or Yoochun or sweetheart Changmin could look after you and the girls. I’ve discussed it with their manager and he is fine with it so not to worry. Just take it for two days okay? Yoochun said he’ll pack up a room for you girls to stay in. Everything is taken care of so just enjoy your stay there till the new apartment is done. And umma has informed Jin darling for you too. She’s thrilled by the news.

Forgotten to tell you that we will sell off the old flat after you get all your things out and the girls’ too. Take good care of yourself baby girl. Umma and appa would love to see you again. Maybe after our honeymoon, we will be there to visit you. And my Changmin darling.

Xoxo, Umma.

“What?!” Eve exclaimed.

“It’s fine you know since our manager is fine with it.” Jaejoong said, knowing that she would not accept it.

“Miss, here’s the keys to the new apartment. But it’s not yet ready so just stay over at the boys’ apartment for the time being.” Mrs Lee handed her the keys.

“Yay! We have company and most importantly, GREAT FOOD!” Changmin rejoiced.

“Yoochun! You knew it and why didn’t you tell me beforehand?” Eve demanded for an appropriate answer.

He laughed in reply. ”Knowing my stubborn little sister, she wouldn’t agree to it at all. And definitely would rather stay in a hotel or her old flat than to stay with us just for two day. Can’t fool me, baby girl.”

“Chillie, you knew about this?”

She looked away. ”I’m sorry Eve. I kind of agreed to it. It’ll be such a hassle if your umma has to rearrange her plans all over again. Saving the trouble you know?”

Eve sighed in defeat. ”I can’t do anything but to agree to it right?”

“YES! Let’s go now before we miss the flight.”

[FIC]Breaking Facade chapter 52

CHAPTER 52

The day passed with just a blink of an eye. Time waited for no man. Natalie enjoyed herself very much, catching up with her old friend and her baby cousin. In additional, she still made two good friends -Jaejoong and Chillie. It was a pity that Changmin decided to stay in the guestroom all day to finish up his thick book. Well, reading definitely was his all-time hobby.

“Yoochun hyung, Noona has a cyworld?” Changmin asked, setting his eyes on the laptop in front of him as though there was something interesting that caught his eyes.

“Yeah, she does keep one but no one actually knew about it.” Yoochun replied, keeping himself busy with his Ipod classic.

Changmin nodded slightly. ”Can you come over to look at this page? I’m thinking this page is it.”

He set aside his Ipod and walked over to Changmin’s desk. ”Computer genius, how did you find that? Even I don’t know her website.”

“I’m close to Noona.” Changmin grinned from ear to ear like a child who had been praised by the parent.

“Her recent post is for her past parents… It reads:
‘Dear Umma, Appa and Dongsaeng,

I’m overjoyed to be able to see all of you once again after so many years of the accident. I thought you don’t want me anymore… But now I know it isn’t true because I’ve seen you again. I will hold on to the promise that I’ve made. Though it’s difficult, I know you will help me and the others will too. I promise to try my hardest to forget all the past hurts, the past mistakes. The past will forever remain as the past so why dwell and waste time my youth over it?

Umma… Appa… I really appreciate those people around me. I appreciate Jaejoong’s unconditional love, Yunho’s care, Yoochun’s hugs, Junsu’s laughter, Changmin’s hunger, Jin’s whines, Chillie’s babbles, Mother’s kisses and Father’s lectures. There will not be any other places that I will be able to find all these benefits.

Umma, do you remember the time when I was young, you always tell my stories about how Appa won your heart? Umma’s stories made me dreamt to have a perfect and loving boyfriend. But now, I don’t have to dream anymore because Eve already found one by the name of Kim Jaejoong. His love is really magnanimous. Sometimes I really wonder whether his love is too much for me to take.

The way he talks to me, the way he expresses his love, the way he looks into my eyes and tells me that he loves me, the way he wraps his arms around me, the way his lips move against mine and the way his hands searching to find mine… All these little things make go crazy. Umma, it’s a different feeling felt from the times when I’m with Kim Bum. He never made me felt this feeling ever before. It’s so different, that’s why I’m afraid. I’m afraid to open up to this feeling because it’s foreign to me. I don’t know what will happen if everything turns out bad. Umma, I don’t want to be a burden to Jaejoong. I thought of leaving him but I just couldn’t bring myself to it because I realize that I love him too
much, too much to the extent that I need him. He is my air, my oxygen.

You know Umma, Jaejoong really loves me. Because I’m running a fever today, Jaejoong specially went to whip a bowl of congee for me. Appa, Jaejoong doesn’t lose to you when it comes to sweetness.

Umma and Appa don’t have to worry about Eve anymore because Eve is in good hands. And precious Dongsaeng, your Noona has someone that loves her even though she is a
crybaby.

Umma, Appa, from today onwards, I promise not to doubt my love for him neither do I doubt his love for me. I promise to try my best to open up my heart to him and only him. I really wish to share every of my moment with him and him alone, whether it’s joy or misery. It’ll really be great if I can be the best girlfriend that he ever has… or maybe wife… if possible, even mother… But Umma, I think I’m thinking too much. Jaejoong won’t… He won’t want someone broken like me. Though I believed that I could love him, I’m not worthy for him. After all, he is someone of high reputation in the entertainment industry. I won’t want to ruin his reputation. And probaby the fans might kill me for being together with him.

Umma, maybe if you’re here, you could teach me what to do. I know I shouldn’t rely on you anymore but I can’t help it. I need someone there badly. Someone simple, someone to trust, someone to cuddle, to cry on. That person hardly could be him, hardly could be Jaejoong.

Stupid pessimistic side of Eve came back again. Ha, guess you’ll never leave will you? Umma, appa and precious dongsaeng, I shall stop here. It’s been a tiring day today. I love all of you. Thanks for meeting me today. Goodbye for now.’[i]

Both heaved a deep sigh. ”Why does Noona think this way? She definitely is worthy!” Changmin said.

“Eve has a bad past. And she is extremely stubborn. Just wish Jaejoong good luck. Maybe he would somehow or another found out this post.”

Then the door flew open. ”Yoochun ah…” Chillie stood there with her pillow in her arms, pecking into the room sheepishly.

“Baby girl? Why are you here?” He pat the empty space of the bed next to him, signalling her to come in to sit down.

She walked in while pouting. ”Jaejoong exchanged rooms with me, remember?”

[i]She looks totally adorable right now! Just like a little lost kid. Yoochun stared dreamily at her.

She waved her hands in front of him, trying to get him back to earth. ”Chunnie?” Something errantic about her was that it was as though she transformed into someone totally different from herself when night fell.

“I’m right here, babe.” He held her hands and placed it down, not releasing it from his grasp. ”So… You want to sleep here?”

“Can I? I don’t want to be sleeping alone. But am I disturbing?”

“Nights hyung and girlfriend!” Changmin said cheerfully. He wanted to avoid the awkwardness he was feeling as maybe sleeping was the best resort to solve that.

“See, not disturbing at all.” Yoochun winked. ”C’mon, let’s sleep. I’m sleepy.”

For once, she did not fight with him. She slept next to him but soon snuggled closer to him as she was feeling cold and insecure. Yoochun gladly welcomed her into his arms, holding and securing her tight in his arms. It was like as though his arms were shaped to fit her in prefectly.

————————————————

Eve’s phone vibrated beside her. She turned to make sure Jaejoong was still asleep and the vibration did not wake him up. She flipped her phone open and pressed ’open’ to read the text message.

From: Yunho
How’s Seattle? And you.

Eve was surprised to receive a text message from Yunho. Then she remembered that day where she met Yunho to help her clear her mind. He definitely was a person close to her heart. He was a friend, but more than a friend. A brother, but more than a brother.

Yunho lied flat on the bed with his arms behind his head. He got no idea why he decided to send Eve a text. He did missed her but the feeling he felt was complicated. He was not clear of what he felt towards Eve. Was it love or merely friendship?

Then his phone vibrated upon an incoming message, breaking his train of thoughts.

From: Eve
I’m fine in Seattle. It’s been a while since you last text. You fine in Korea?

Eve turned around to face the sleeping Jaejoong just in front of her. She swept away his bangs and caressed his left cheek. ”So beautiful…”

From: Yunho
Everything is fine here, been meeting up with friends and staying with family. Our break are going to end soon. You guys planning to come back soon?

Yunho somehow had the urge to want to see Eve again.

From: Eve
Probably going back soon. I heard Dong Bang Shin Ki has a concert in Seoul soon after the ten days break right? It’s better for us to get back earlier so that the guys can prepare. Contact Junsu? We’ll stay a few more days.

From: Yunho
That’s fine. Don’t worry about it, we’ll plan it out. Yes, Junsu will be coming back after another two days. Anyway, we will contact again soon. Take care for now and have a good rest. Sleep tight.

Eve looked at the screen and sighed. Jaejoong will be so busy after this break. I hope that he won’t exhaust himself too much. She kissed Jaejoong’s forehead and turned again to the side, sinking into deep slumber.

[FIC]Breaking Facade chapter 51

CHAPTER 51

“Yoochun ah, do you think we can go out today?” Chillie asked, playing with the fabric of Yoochun’s sleeve.

“Well, it’s starting to drizzle. I guess we have to stay home today plus Eve isn’t feeling great.” Yoochun kissed her hair, taking in her sweet aroma.

Chillie sighed in disappointment. She hardly visited Seattle and was looking forward to go out to look around but guessed her best friend meant more than anything else.

“I’ll bring you around other days, alright baby?” He said huskily into her ears.

Chillie blushed when she felt his delicious soft lips touched her ear. It felt…tempting. Tempting to kiss him and feel his lips against hers again. On the other hand, Yoochun’s heart was beating in frantic mode inside, if only Chillie could hear, it would be so embarrassing.

Yoochun always wanted to hold her in his arms like the position they were in now. Whether it was just casually sitting on the couch chatting or hanging out as a couple, it satisfied him enough to pull a huge smile on his face for the rest of the day. But his mind gradually drifted off to further things they could do until…

“Yoochun oppa!” A feminie voice called out from the door, distracting him from his further thoughts.

The couple turned and looked up to be greeted by a lady with straight black hair that made her stunning eyes stood out from her whole features though were hidden shyly behind those black pair of spectacle. The white dress shirt that matched with a simple pair of dark demin jeans made her looked vertically longer.

The female guest ran towards Yoochun and gave him a tight hug after the couple stood up from their seats and let go of each other.

“Hey Natalie, what are you doing here?” Yoochun returned the passionate hug and laughed, ruffling her hair.

“I heard from Umma that you guys came back so decided to come over to take a look at my two dearest friends.”

Chillie stood one corner as she watched the two embraced each other, almost forgetting her existence. Jealousy unknowingly had already creeped into her heart just by looking. She could not help but to feel an urge to go over and grabbed Yoochun away from her. Yoochun was hers, and only hers. She was definitely sure of that.

As though Yoochun was able to sense the jealousy or awkwardness (if that’s what he called it) Chillie was sensing, he pulled away from Natalie and grabbed Chillie’s wrist. ”Nat, meet my girl, Chillie.” He introduced, possibly hoping that Chillie would not feel uneasy.

“Girlfriend?” Natalie widened her eyes at the word and gasped. Yoochun nodded with pride when she turned to stare at him.

“Hmm… I’m Chillie. Well, technically we are not together yet.”

“Yet?” Natalie laughed at her cuteness. ”Natalie. Call me Nat in short will do. If you are wondering who am I related to them, I’m Eve’s cousin.” They shook hands.

“What do you mean?” Yoochun furious of the fact that they were obviously together yet she denied it.

“Why would we be couple when one party has never asked?”

“Oh, so you want the official way uh?” He grinned at her bluntness and sneakily wrapped his arm around her waist, but she bit her lips and looked away.

Stupid me! I shouldn’t have said that. Now he thinks I’m desperate. She mentally slapped herself on the cheek.

“Okay, enough of the flirting. Where’s my baby cousin?” Natalie interrupted, folding her arms. She looked annoyed.

Chillie pushed his arm away from her waist. ”Eve’s sick. She is resting in her room.”

“Omo! What happen to her? Yoochun, you should be taking care of her instead of being here lovey-dovey with your girl!” Natalie reprimanded him. From young, she had been close to Eve and was like an elder sister to her. She knew clearly that Eve had a bad health.

“Don’t you worry. Eve doesn’t need me now. She has a loving man to take care of her.” He was obviously jealous that Jaejoong took over his place in her heart.

“Yoochun, you know it’s not true. You’re still important to me.” A weak voice echoed down the stairs.

Natalie looked towards the direction of the voiceand got all excited. ”EVE!” She got up and dashed to her, giving her a warm embrace.

“Hey Unnie.” Eve managed to speak beyond a whisper.

Natalie pulled back. ”Oops, I’m sorry. Forgotten you’re sick.”

“I’m feeling all better already. Don’t worry about me.” Eve gave her a weak smile.

“Eve, you’re still weak. Why are you out of bed?” Chillie asked.

“Hyung, you shouldn’t let her out of bed.” Yoochun reprimanded him.

“She is one stubborn girl.” Jaejoong sighed. ”You know she has ways to manipulate me to do things her way.”

Natalie stared at Jaejoong in awe. Never had she seen such breathtaking features in a man in her lifetime. ”You are Eve’s boyfriend I supposed?”

Jaejoong nodded politely.

[FIC]Breaking Facade chapter 50

CHAPTER 50

“Changmin…” Changmin turned to see a feminine figure standing at the foot of his bed. Her red long wavy hair outlined her figure nicely, giving off an extreme feminie aura. Her whisper was like smooth light keys that belonged to the ivory keys of the piano.

“Noona? What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be resting in your room?” He asked, seeing her behaving so sneakily.

“If your hyung asked whether am I here or been here before, tell him you didn’t see me.” Eve sneaked into the huge closet in a hurry.

“Huh?”

“Just do what I instructed you. I’ll explain everything to you later. But make sure he left then you called me out.” Eve popped her head out and returned in for hiding again.

“Eve!” Jaejoong’s voice rang across from the next room.

“Dead meat.” Changmin could hear Eve muttered under her heavy breathing.

“Changmin ah, did you see Eve?”

“Ah, aniya. I didn’t see her. As you know, I’m in the room whole day reading.” He held the book up as evidence to back his statement up. ”Something’s wrong, hyung?” He asked when he noticed the worry look began to cloud Jaejoong’s eyes.

Jaejoong then heaved a deep sigh. ”She is sick yet she ran off just the moment I turned back to get the medicine. I really got no idea when she ran to. She was gone like the wind.”

“Hyung might want to look around at the first story? Who knows she might be with Yoochun hyung.” Changmin commented but somehow felt guilty for having to lie to Jaejoong after seeing obvious worried look on his face.

“True. Please take her to me if by any chance she came here.”

And there was no movement, however till the thud sound of the closing door ensured that Jaejoong had left, Eve crawled out of the closet. She sighed dramatically as she sat comfortably beside Changmin on the bed.

“Noona, tell me what’s going on. Hyung is really upset and worried.” Changmin demanded for an explaination just as she promised she would give one.

After setting herself comfortably beside him, Eve sighed one last time before proceeding her explaination to Changmin. ”Minnie, it’s really a long story. From young, I kind of have a fear of medicine, especially those that makes you go all sleepy and groggy.”

Eve swallowed an imaginary lump and continued, ”After the accident many years back, I was placed in the orphanage. Every night I would wake up from nightmares and would be so afraid to go back to sleep so I’ll just sit on the bed till the sun rises again for a new day to start. Soon, this lady that runs the orphanage noticed that something was wrong with me and eventually found out that i’m suffering from serious insomnia. And that was when she started to give me pills to make me sleep peacefully for the night.”

Eve stopped with a shudder. She definitely did not want to remember that bad experience she went through. It was painful and intolerable for her. Her brows began to form together as all the complicated feelings she once felt that particular time were all drifting up again.

“Noona?” Changmin shook her out of her thoughts. She looked like she was losing her sanity. ”Are you fine? It’s fine if you do not want to go on. I understand. Just relax yourself.”

Eve blinked a little to get herself back to reality from her thoughts. ”Minnie, it’s fine. I can continue the story. Don’t worry.”

“Noona, are you sure? You looked painful.”

“I’m fine. Oh, where was I? Hmm, okay.” She remembered. ”And yes, I took the pills every night I went to sleep though I was still very young. For my safety purposes, the lady always gives me limited pills that I felt it wasn’t enough. Each night, again I wasn’t able to have a good sleep even though I took the pills. Knowing it wasn’t enough, I secretly went to take more without the lady’s consent. Being the young me, I took more than the number I should take and that landed me to the hospital, in intensive care.”

Changmin’s eyes widened with astonishment.

“The doctor said I was poisoned or something around that line. The reason why I have a fear of medicine because the feeling of blacking out and not waking up is horrible. Although I wished to die that time, but I didn’t want such painful death.”

Changmin shook his head. ”Noona must have lose her sanity that time.”

That sentence made Eve laughed. ”I think so too. But luckily I met Mrs Reaser and Mr Reaser there at the hospital. They said I could their eyes at the first sight and really have a liking towards me. When they found out that I was an orphan, they were delighted. Delighted in a good way like they are more than glad to provide me a good family. Immediately they went to adopt me. The funny thing was that Mrs Reaser and Omma were close friends when she was still alive.”

Eve let out a bitter laughter.

“I’m sorry, love. I didn’t know about your bad experience.” A voice came from the door that was slightly opened. It then slowly opened to reveal Eve’s caring prince.

“Jae?”

“Hey, thanks Min.” Jaejoong tapped Changmin lightly on the shoulder who already buried his head in the thick book he was holding onto.

Eve cocked her head to the side, looking greatly confused. ”What’s going on?”

“Mianhae Noona. I can’t help you to lie. Hyung’s worried expression is far more scary.” Changmin apologised for betraying Eve. ”I whispered to hyung that you are in this room and I’ll coax you on taking your medicine later.”

“Shim Changmin! You actually betray your noona!” She bit her lips.

“Love, don’t scold him. He’s worried for you just like I am. It’s for your own good.” Jaejoong reached out for Eve and pulled her into his embrace. ”Will you take your medicine if I promise to stay by you till you wake up? You know you’re still burning up there.”

“Yeah noona. Just take the medicine. Don’t make hyung and us worry. Look at hyung, he’s looking older day by day.”

“But Jaejoong…” Eve whined.

“You won’t feel the way you did that time. Trust me, alright? And Min is right. I’m looking older than my age after worrying so much about you.” He teased.

“Fine I’ll take! Bad people psycho me in taking and ganging up to bully me.” She folded her arms.

Changmin chuckled. ”Oh noona, you know I love you!” He held Eve in his arms after Jaejoong let go of her and said cutely.
